I have been a practicing Psychotherapist /Art therapist in The East Midlands since 2000. I am a registered member of the NCC Micro Providers. I am a BAAT and Health Professions Council registered Art Psychotherapist and I follow their code of ethics.
I am also a accredited Supervisor. I supervise a wide range of therapists and psychotherapists including an Art Therapist employed by Huntercombe Group- Stafford.
I work with adults Personality Disorders, Behavioral Difficulties and Learning Difficulty and Disabilities in private care homes and within the NHS Highbury Hospital (Learning Disability Department-Asperger Services)- Basford in Nottingham
I am an integrative therapist, which means I use a variety of approaches in my work which I discuss with clients so that they may choose a therapy process which is best suited to them. I practice mindfulness myself and I integrate mindfulness into my therapy work.
I give regular lectures and workshops on Art Therapy/Psychotherapy and Supervision.
I have 20 years experience of working in Primary, Secondary Schools, Colleges and Universites. As well as Day Centre and most recently NHS Highbury Hospital and Huntercombe Hospital. I have experience of working with adults with a wide array of difficulties such as Mental Health, Autism, Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Stress, Eating Disorders, Self Harming, Learning Disabilities to long term illnesses. The ages have ranged from 11 to 90 years young.
I am passionate about improvingthe lifes of clients with Learning Difficulties - I am focused, determined and professional. Caring and interested in Mindfullness. I am always working on achieving my full potential. Always interested in the unimagined you! Vastly experienced in many fields. Ready willing and able to take on new challenges and widen my horizons.
