Paul Lazarus

Paul Lazarus graduated in medicine from UCL in 1979 and has worked as an NHS general practitioner in Leicester until retiring in 2011 to concentrate on his role in medical education. This has included the exploration of the role of humanities and the Arts within the undergraduate curriculum, and at Leicester this has seen various student-selected components, the MA in Medical Humanities which students may take as an intercalated degree during their medical studies and a postgraduate certificate programme for GPs. He is the current president of the Association for Medical Humanities.
