Dr Mel Jordan is an Assistant Professor in Criminology (School of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Nottingham) who undertakes multi-discipline research and teaching covering the fields of creative practice, mutual recovery, health, welfare, well-being, mental health, forensic settings, developing trauma-informed secure sites, prisons, police, modern slavery, sex crime, penal reform, criminology, sociology, etc. Mel has worked with Prof.

Paul Crawford and other colleagues on a recent AHRC Programme Grant re. creative practice as mutual recovery and has published a resultant &ldqou;community and capoeira&rdqou; paper here:
